Green Cards

A green card gives you permission to live and work permanently in the United States. We help clients pursue one through a family member, through an employer, or through qualifying investment — and we're with you from your first filing through your final step.

What We Handle

What “Green Cards” Covers

A green card is what most people mean when they talk about becoming a permanent resident of the United States. There’s more than one way to get there — through a family member, through an employer, or through a qualifying investment — and the process usually has two parts: the underlying petition, and then either completing your case here in the United States (adjustment of status) or at a U.S. consulate abroad (consular processing).

We handle both parts of a green card case for our clients, so you have one point of contact from your first filing through your final step, whichever path applies to your situation.

How We Help

We start with a consultation to talk through your situation and answer your questions. Once you decide to move forward, we send an engagement agreement and open your case.

From there, we prepare your petition and every supporting form, put together a checklist of the documents your case needs, and file your case with the correct government office. Once it’s filed, we track it — watching for your receipt notice, any biometrics appointment, and any requests the government sends for more evidence. If a request for evidence arrives, we review it with you and prepare the response together, rather than leave you to interpret a government notice on your own. If your case includes an interview, we help you get ready for it.

Throughout, we keep you updated — not only when there’s major news — so you always know where your case stands.

What to Expect Working With Us

Waiting on a green card case is stressful, especially when family is involved. We try to explain each step in plain language, tell you why we’re asking for a document rather than just that we need it, and give you a realistic sense of what comes next.

Consultations and case communication are available in English and Spanish — we’re glad to work with you and your family in whichever language is more comfortable.
