Marriage & Family-Based Green Cards
If you're a U.S. citizen or green card holder petitioning for a spouse or other family member, we handle the case from the initial family petition through adjustment of status or consular processing — and we stay with you through the interview.
Schedule a ConsultationHow We Help
Family-based green card cases move through several stages, and we’re with you for each one: preparing and filing the initial family petition, putting together the adjustment-of-status or consular-processing paperwork that follows, and responding to any requests the government sends along the way. Throughout, we keep you updated on where your case stands and make sure you understand what’s happening and why at each step — you’re never just waiting in the dark on a case this important.
Because these cases involve close family relationships — spouses, parents, children, siblings — we take the time to understand your specific circumstances before we start preparing anything. Every family looks a little different, and the documents and evidence that best tell your story aren’t always the same from one case to the next.
Preparing for the Interview
Many family-based cases include an interview with an immigration officer. When your case reaches that stage, we prepare you for what to expect, go over your documents together beforehand, and make sure you feel ready to walk in.
What to Expect Working With Us
This is often one of the most personal, highest-stakes cases a family will go through, and we treat it that way. Danja is personally involved in reviewing cases at each key stage, not only at intake, and every filing goes out only after that review. We check in with you regularly while a case is pending, even when there’s nothing new to report yet, because we know that silence is often the hardest part of waiting — and if a question comes up in the middle of the process, our office is reachable.
Consultations and case communication are available in English and Spanish.
