What Naturalization Is

Naturalization is how a lawful permanent resident becomes a United States citizen. It’s a significant milestone — the end of one process and, in many ways, the start of a new relationship with this country. 4. We prepare and review your case. Once we have what we need, we prepare your application. Nothing goes out of this office without a careful review, and we walk you through everything before it’s signed and filed.
5. We file and keep you posted. After filing, we track your case and send you regular updates — even during the stretches when there’s no news yet, because we think you deserve to know where things stand.
6. We handle government requests. If the government asks for additional evidence or information, we manage that response and keep you informed throughout.
7. We prepare you for what comes next. When it’s time for a biometrics appointment or an interview, we make sure you know what to expect and how to get ready.
