Accessibility Statement

Our target

This site is built to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA — the current, stable standard published by the W3C. That target covers the full WCAG 2.0/2.1/2.2 A and AA criteria set, not only the small set of success criteria introduced in the 2.2 revision.

Conformance status

This site is a work in progress, and this statement describes what has actually been checked, not what we hope will eventually be true. As of our last review:

• Every page is built from a shared layout that sets the page language, includes a "skip to main content" link as the first focusable element, and never suppresses keyboard focus outlines.
• Color choices sitewide (text, links, buttons, form states, focus indicators) were computed against the WCAG contrast formula — at least 4.5:1 for body and link text, at least 3:1 for large text and interactive-control boundaries — rather than chosen by eye.
• A full build-verification pass (2026-07-17) automatically checked every built page for build errors, broken internal links, and compliance-copy issues, and manually spot-checked the keyboard tab order and focus-visible indicator on the homepage and primary navigation — both showed a clear, high-contrast focus outline at every step checked.
• Buttons, the consultation call-to-action, navigation links, and form controls are sized to meet the 24×24 CSS-pixel minimum target size (in-line text links within paragraphs are exempt under this rule).
• Forms use real HTML labels, and validation errors are announced to screen readers, not shown by color alone.

We have not yet run a full assistive-technology audit (for example, testing with a screen reader end to end) or an automated accessibility-scanning tool (such as axe or Lighthouse) across every page. Those checks are planned, not yet complete — this statement will be updated once they are.

Known limitations

• Several pages on this site still carry placeholder body content, marked [PLACEHOLDER] in the page itself, while we finish drafting and the attorney reviews the final copy. Placeholder text does not represent finished content, but the page structure around it (headings, landmarks, navigation) follows the same accessibility rules as finished pages.
• The Spanish-language version of this site (/es) is not live yet. Once it is, each Spanish page will meet the same accessibility target as its English counterpart.
• A comprehensive, criterion-by-criterion disposition of every WCAG 2.2 A/AA success criterion against this site's components is tracked internally and updated as the site is built out; it is not yet a completed, independently-audited conformance report.
